[노트펫] 강아지가 친구와 놀고 싶어 매일 이웃집에 찾아가 노크를 하는 영상이 누리꾼들에게 흐뭇한 미소를 선사하고 있다고 지난 17일(이하 현지 시각) 미국 시사주간지 뉴스위크가 보도했다.
니콜 후인(Nicole Huynh)이 미국 캘리포니아주 로스앤젤레스의 새집으로 이사했을 때, 그녀는 이웃집에 사는 골든두들 '피타(Pita)'와 만났다.
피타는 후인뿐 아니라 그녀의 반려견인 '피아(Fia)'와도 금세 친해져 함께 놀기 시작했다.
그렇게 피타와 피아는 친구가 됐고, 그날 이후부터 피타는 일주일에 몇 번씩 피아와 놀기 위해 그녀의 집을 찾아와 문을 두드렸다.

후인은 뉴스위크와의 인터뷰에서 "처음 피타의 작은 노크 소리를 들었을 때 우리는 배달원이나 이웃인 줄 알았다"며 "그러나 우리는 피타가 참을성 있게 앉아 놀기를 기다리고 있는 것을 보고 문을 열었다"고 말했다.
이어 "피타는 자신이 문을 두드리면 우리가 문 앞에 왔다는 사실을 금방 알아챘다"며 "이제는 이웃들이 마당이나 밖에 있을 때마다 우리 문 앞으로 걸어와 놀자고 노크한다"고 덧붙였다.
후인은 피타의 노크 소리를 놓치고 싶지 않았기 때문에 외부에 설치된 도어캠이 동물 움직임을 감지할 수 있도록 설정도 변경했다.
이제 피타가 잔디밭을 걸을 때마다 후인의 휴대전화로 알람이 와서 그녀는 피타를 기다렸다 맞이할 수 있게 됐다.
새로운 지역에 이사와 적응하는 것은 어려운 일이지만, 피타와 피아의 우정 덕분에 후인은 새로운 집에 몹시 만족하고 있다고.
그녀는 녀석들의 우정과 피타의 방문이 자신의 삶에 많은 기쁨을 가져다주고 있다고 전했다.
